Zhongmin Mao, L.Ac. brings 25 plus years of experience of this popular form of medicine to The Parker Skin & Aesthetic Clinic.

Born in Beijing, China, Zhongmin Mao received his 5-year Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine with Specialization in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He majored in Acupuncture and Moxibustion and has accumulated more than 24 years of experience in many aspects of traditional Chinese medicine including acupuncture, acupressure and reflexology.

Zhongmin Mao also attended Canada Delter Business Institute where he majored in Business English. He began his working career as Doctor of Acupuncture at Beijing Fuxing Hospital (1992- 1993) where he was responsible for administering the appropriate treatments and care to patients. From 1993 to 1996, he was employed as a Doctor of Acupuncture at Eden Hotel, Israel where he provided care to senior citizens and coordinated with the health department in developing acupuncture techniques.

From 1998 to 2000, Zhongmin Mao served as Director of the Development Department at Beijing Bohong Development and Research Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). He was instrumental in assisting in the development of TCM and health care products. For the next five years, Dr. Mao worked as an acupuncture doctor in Beijing GuoYi Jingchen Chinese Medical Clinic where he treated cases from chronic to acute, paralysis to heart disease and many different viruses.

Zhongmin Mao came to the United States in January 2006 to pursue his dream of becoming nationally board certified to perform acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine. Since 2006, he has been licensed and worked as a holistic Acupuncturist at The Feng Clinic. He was in charge of ongoing research in the field, assessing and analyzing statuses and needs of clients, as well as diagnoses of pathogeneses.

Dr. Mao is extremely knowledgeable in applying acupuncture therapy to assist in relieving various conditions. He is keenly aware of patients’ varying levels of sensitivities and responsiveness. Speaking both Mandarin and English, he communicates with patients, guides them to follow therapies, and brings them ease. Dr. Mao’s unique theories and philosophies give great support to the course of therapy. Hundreds of cases have proven, excellent results using Dr. Mao’s acupuncture expertise as an adjunct to medical care.
