Dr. Assaf graduated from University of Cincinnati medical school, and joined the United States Navy. He served four years as a Flight Surgeon, with assignments to California, Jacksonville and Keflavik Iceland. A rescue mission at that time earned recognition from the Icelandic Prime Minister and was subsequently awarded the most meritorious flight of the year! He then joined his wife in Cleveland and completed 2 years of dermatology clinical studies and basic science research prior to his Dermatology residency. Dr. Assaf’s belief in providing high quality care and customer service to his patients is evidenced in his numerous awards throughout the years.

Outside of work, Dr. Assaf and his wife are enthusiastic travelers and supporters of non-profits, and they are eagerly anticipating their first international medical mission. He is a regular volunteer at community skin cancer screenings, and believes strongly in the role of education in patient care.
