Clear + Brilliant®
Some laser treatments ask you to disappear for a week. Clear + Brilliant isn’t one of them. It’s a gentle, non-ablative laser facial that refreshes the surface of your skin — smoothing texture, softening early lines, and restoring the kind of glow that makes people ask whether you’ve changed your skincare. Most patients are back to normal the same day.
At The Parker Skin & Aesthetic Clinic, we’ve been performing laser treatments in Northeast Ohio for years, and Clear + Brilliant is the one we most often recommend to patients who are new to lasers — or who want to stay ahead of aging rather than correct it later.
What Is Clear + Brilliant?
Clear + Brilliant is a fractional laser treatment built on the same technology as Fraxel, dialed down to a gentler setting. The laser creates thousands of microscopic treatment zones in the upper layers of skin. Your body responds by replacing that treated tissue with fresh, healthy skin and new collagen.
Because the laser works on the surface rather than deep in the dermis, the results are subtle and cumulative instead of dramatic and disruptive. Think of it as a reset button for your complexion, not a renovation.
A single session takes about 20 to 30 minutes, and sessions can be scheduled as close as two weeks apart.
What Clear + Brilliant Treats
Clear + Brilliant is designed to improve the everyday signs of aging and environmental damage before they become entrenched:
- Rough or uneven skin texture
- Dull, tired-looking skin
- Early fine lines
- Enlarged-looking pores
- Uneven tone and mild discoloration
- Overall radiance and glow
It’s also an effective maintenance treatment between more intensive procedures, and a strong preventative option for patients in their twenties and thirties who want to protect the skin they have.
Who Is a Good Candidate?
Clear + Brilliant tends to be a good fit if you:
- Are curious about laser resurfacing but not ready for significant downtime
- Have healthy skin that needs refreshing more than correcting
- Want a preventative treatment rather than a corrective one
- Are looking to treat thinner, more delicate skin — the neck, chest, or hands
- Want to maintain results between stronger laser treatments
- Have an event coming up and want your skin looking its best without the risk of visible recovery
If your concerns run deeper — significant acne scarring, deep wrinkles, or more pronounced sun damage — a stronger treatment may serve you better. Your provider will tell you honestly which one that is at your consultation.
What to Expect During Your Treatment
Before. A topical numbing cream is applied and left on for roughly 30 minutes so the treatment stays comfortable.
During. Your provider passes the handpiece over the treatment area in a measured pattern. Most patients describe a warm, prickling sensation. The laser portion itself takes about 20 to 30 minutes depending on the area.
After. Your skin will look flushed, similar to a mild sunburn, and may feel warm and slightly rough — often described as sandpapery — for a few days. That texture is the treated tissue working its way to the surface, and it’s a normal part of the process.
Downtime and Aftercare
Most patients return to work and normal activity the same day. Makeup can usually be applied the following day, though your provider will give you specific guidance based on your skin.
For the best result, plan on:
- Diligent sunscreen — daily, without exceptions
- Gentle cleansing and generous moisturizing while your skin recovers
- Pausing retinoids, acids, and exfoliants until your provider clears you
- Avoiding direct sun exposure while your skin is healing
Because Clear + Brilliant makes your skin temporarily more sensitive to UV, sun protection isn’t a suggestion here. It’s what protects the result you paid for.
How Many Treatments Will I Need?
You’ll see a difference after one session — most patients notice their skin looks brighter and feels smoother within a week. But Clear + Brilliant is designed to build. A series of four to six treatments, spaced a few weeks apart, produces a more meaningful change in texture and tone.
After the initial series, many patients come in for a maintenance session every few months to hold their results. Your provider will map out a schedule based on your skin and your goals, not a one-size-fits-all package.
How Clear + Brilliant Compares to Our Other Laser Treatments
The Parker Clinic offers a full range of laser and resurfacing options, and choosing well matters more than choosing the strongest one.
- Clear + Brilliant — the gentlest option. Surface-level, minimal downtime, best for maintenance and prevention.
- Fraxel Re:store — a step up in intensity for more noticeable texture, tone, and pigment correction.
- Fraxel Re:pair — an ablative resurfacing laser for deeper wrinkles and more significant sun damage.
- CO2RE — fractional CO2 resurfacing for advanced texture, scarring, and laxity concerns.
- M22 IPL and Nd:YAG — targets redness, brown spots, and vascular concerns rather than texture.
Not sure which is right for you? That’s what the consultation is for.
Why Patients Choose The Parker Clinic
Clear + Brilliant is only as good as the hands performing it. At The Parker Skin & Aesthetic Clinic, your treatment is planned and performed by an experienced team working under board-certified dermatologists — not a technician following a template.
We see patients at our Beachwood, Westlake, and Willoughby offices, and we’ve built our cosmetic practice around one idea: results that look like you, only better rested.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Clear + Brilliant hurt?
Most patients describe it as warm and prickly rather than painful. Topical numbing cream is applied beforehand, which keeps the treatment comfortable for the large majority of patients.
How long is the downtime?
Most people go back to their day immediately. Expect redness for a day or two and a slightly rough texture for a few days after that. Makeup is typically fine the next day.
How soon will I see results?
Skin often looks brighter within a week. Texture and tone continue improving over the following weeks as new collagen forms, and results build with each session.
Can Clear + Brilliant be used on areas other than the face?
Yes. It’s frequently used on the neck, chest, and hands, where skin is thinner and more delicate.
Is Clear + Brilliant safe for darker skin tones?
Because it’s non-ablative and works at a lower intensity, Clear + Brilliant is generally well tolerated across a range of skin types. Your provider will assess your skin and medical history at your consultation to confirm it’s appropriate for you.
How is Clear + Brilliant different from a HydraFacial or microdermabrasion?
Those treatments exfoliate the surface. Clear + Brilliant works below it, stimulating your skin’s own collagen production — which is why the results last longer and continue developing after your appointment.
Can I combine it with other treatments?
Often, yes. Many patients pair Clear + Brilliant with injectables or use it as maintenance between stronger resurfacing treatments. Your provider will sequence everything appropriately.
How much does Clear + Brilliant cost in Cleveland?
Pricing depends on the treatment area and whether you’re doing a single session or a series. We’ll review costs and any current promotions at your consultation.
